  • Must be a full APHA member to apply.

  • Awards will be presented at the annual APHA function.

  • All entries must be for animals taken in the calendar year prior to the APHA function and must be received by December 31of that year.

  • All entries must have been hunted on a free range basis and in countries in which the species can be legally hunted. “Canned” hunts will be automatically disqualified. [Note: white rhino must not be from hunts that are limited to a one animal permit where the hunter has no selection possibilities.]

  • A member can enter more than one trophy. Please use a separate submission for each.

  • Scoring will be done by the APHA Executive Committee and will be based on the APHA’s official TROPHY JUDGING PARAMETERS

  • Executive Committee members will not be allowed to be involved in judging any award in which they have an entry.

  • Brief description of the hunt: Points will be awarded for the difficulty of obtaining the trophy; therefore a brief description of the hunt is necessary. Factors that need to be clarified must include the weapon used and whether the trophy was taken using bait, blinds, tracking, dogs, etc. This is a very important part of the judging, so please be as thorough as possible.
